Project Summary
This project was very stressful, it was done during a global pandemic with little to no access to university facilities and overall, I know I put my best into it regardless of what was happening.
The project followed my journey through grief, health issues, and navigating the pandemic. It seems rather odd to focus on death art while grieving for a family member but through this project I learned that addressing my grief, channeling it into something productive and working towards pushing my skills to the next level actually allowed me to be more 'death positive', after all it happens to everyone.
Through the project I documented my weekly progress using Instagram and a blog but as I was editing this blog I found some pieces which I hadn't put in a post, yet felt like they should still be submitted as work. Here they are
